Have you ever wanted to hear more of a song on iTunes? Sometimes the 30 second sample can be a little disappointing, ending right before a good part. Well now you don't have to worry, for Apple is extending the sample play time to 90 seconds! A conformation email was sent to Labels to confirm the new change in samples.
In totally unrelated news. Apple predicts to sell 100M iPhones and 48M iPads in 2011. That is a ridiculous amount of money. Someone want to do the math? :)
And for those of you that were wondering, the museum was the De Young. Got to see the Starry Night because (I think) the Louvre is remodeling the third floor of their museum. Beautiful artwork. Friend has photos might post later on in the week.
Sucks for all those people who have 1:30 songs
ReplyDeleteI would have thought you could work out if you like the song in the 30 seconds. It is only a preview afterall (and mostly so people can know if it is the song they think it is!).
ReplyDeleteoh dear!
ReplyDeleteCool Story Bro!;)
ReplyDeleteindeed apple is a rich bitch lol but 90 seconds are way better now
ReplyDeleteI can't stand iTunes. It's a freaking memory hog. I use Foobar2000.
ReplyDeleteOkay, thanks for the news :)
ReplyDeletefoobar is the way to go. Apple is def racking in the sales.
ReplyDeletecool new thanks
ReplyDeletenice , thnx for information !
ReplyDeleteThe way Apple's fanbase is growing, I wouldn't be surprised.
ReplyDeleteNot bad. I've always thought 30 sec samples were too small.
ReplyDeleteI never understood this stuff. 90% of the time the song you're looking for is on youtube. But for iTunes, that's pretty cool. 30 seconds was enough for me usually.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the person saying 30 seconds isn't long enough. There are a lot of songs with 30 second sections that really give nothing away as to what the song is like. I enjoy this news.
ReplyDeleteGlad Apple made this change, thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteInteresting change... Don't really like itunes, tho
ReplyDeletethat's a lot of sales they hope to have, i'm sure they'll be releasing newer versions of everything too.
ReplyDeletegood stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a fan of iTunes
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck with iTunes... I have an iPod
ReplyDeleteI'm with About Insurance on this one
ReplyDeleteSounds like I should invest in Apple stock :o
ReplyDeleteWill be pretty neat hearing more than 30 sec; it seems they always chose a crappy part of the song to demo.
The iPad is trash. The fact they're selling just revolts me.
ReplyDeleteawesome samples
ReplyDeleteWell, good for iTunes users :)
ReplyDeleteits cuz apple are facist dictators of the tech world!
ReplyDeleteI wish i had bought shares in Apple before they came out with the iPhone. Would be so rich by now!
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice! I hate when the samples are to short <.<
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information! Didn't know that...
ReplyDeleteI really dislike itunes, they're so anal about piracy and stuff that they're making it pain in the butt.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteneat
